CDEL Holds POA Workshop at HANA Northwest Center

A volunteer attorney and interpreter working with a CDEL client at CDEL’s March 6th Power of Attorney workshop at HANA Northwest Center

Earlier in March, CDEL held a Power of Attorney workshop at HANA Northwest Center, a CDEL community partner and organization that seeks to build community among the Korean, Asian American, and multiethnic immigrant communities in Chicagoland. With the assistance of volunteer interpreters, the volunteer attorneys from Astellas Pharma were able to assist 6 clients in completing 17 documents! Thank you to the volunteers from Astellas Pharma for joining us and to HANA Northwest Center for hosting us!

CDEL Presents on Importance of Advanced Planning

This past weekend, CDEL Staff Attorney Lissette Ortegon gave a presentation to over 180 participants about the importance of advanced planning to the Spanish Epilepsy Foundation's Conference: Empowering Our Families. The conference, given in Spanish, was open to individuals with epilepsy, caregivers, medical professionals and anyone interested in learning more about epilepsy.

CDEL is always glad to be out in the community providing awareness for the importance of advanced planning!
