On why Rosalyn was excited to join CDEL's Board, she said: "I was first introduced to CDEL through my Public Interest Law Initiative Graduate Fellowship, during which I had the chance to assist with a variety of legal services, including end of life planning, housing and collections defense work. As a practicing attorney, I’ve continued to be impressed by CDEL’s exceptional pro bono model that makes it easy and rewarding for attorney volunteers to get involved and provide critical legal services to vulnerable populations. I am excited to continue my relationship with CDEL in my new capacity as a Board member, and look forward to furthering its important mission of serving low-income seniors and people with disabilities in our communities.”

Helen had this to say on why she was excited to join CDEL's board: “I am thrilled to join CDEL’s board because as a special needs mom, I have seen up close the struggle for services and need for legal representation of young adults with disabilities. The poverty rate of disabled adults is 26 percent, making services that CDEL provides crucial.”

Todd had this to say on why he was excited to join CDEL's board: "I am so excited to join CDEL’s Governing Board and help make a difference in the tremendous work that CDEL’s staff and hundreds of volunteer attorneys do every day for low-income seniors and people with disabilities. In Chicago and Cook County, we have hundreds of thousands of seniors and people with disabilities who live below the poverty level, and I am honored to join the talented CDEL Board to support CDEL’s work in providing access to our legal system for those marginalized by poverty, disability and age. I am thrilled to support CDEL’s long standing partnership with Chicago’s legal community to provide high quality pro bono legal services to these underserved and underrepresented groups."
