CDEL 2021 Year In Review Image Description: Two people holding hands. 2021 was another challenging year for so many. Despite this, CDEL staff and volunteers continued to serve our clients to help them receive the quality legal assistance they need. We would like to take this time to say a profound thank you to CDEL staff, volunteers, interns, Governing Board Members, Young Professionals Board members, community partners, and all of our generous CDEL supporters for everything they have done and continue to do to help us further our mission.
In 2021, CDEL closed 2,043 case files. CDEL serves low-income seniors and people with disabilities throughout Cook County. In 2021, approximately 60% of CDEL’s clients resided in Chicago, while 40% resided in the surrounding suburbs. CDEL clients can qualify for CDEL’s services on age or disability status. However, many seniors that qualify on age status also identify as having a disability. 49% of CDEL's clients identified as having a disability. CDEL Programs By the Numbers:

Run and raise at least $1,750 for CDEL and its programs. Include your family, friends, and colleagues as well!
