April is National Volunteer Month and this week (April 16th - 22nd), is National Volunteer Week. CDEL could not do the work it does in the community without the dedicated group of attorneys, paralegals, law students, and pro bono partners who give their time and expertise to serve CDEL's clients everyday. In 2022, CDEL trained over 155 volunteers who gave over 9,000 hours of their time to further our mission.

On Monday of this week, CDEL held a Housing Preservation Project (HPP) workshop with new community partner, Breakthrough Urban Ministries in the Garfield Park neighborhood. Six volunteers from CDEL's longtime partner, Pro Bono Network, joined to assist clients with Transfer on Death Instruments and other estate planning documents.
