Earlier this month, CDEL supporters came together to celebrate two important milestones as part of our 40th Anniversary Year.
First, CDEL recognized and thanked one of our Founders, Bob Michalak. Bob’s signed CDEL’s Articles of Incorporation in 1982 and has served as a Board Member since CDEL opened its doors in 1984. After over forty years of service to CDEL, Bob retired from his current role as a Director and will now serve as a Director Emeritus. We thank Bob for his vision and commitment to CDEL.
Second, CDEL expressed its appreciation to Theresa Jaffe who concluded her two-year term as Board President. Theresa has led the Board with wisdom, vision and grace. During her tenure, CDEL completed a strategic plan, strengthened its committee structure, and launched a major gifts campaign.
Bob and Theresa are outstanding examples of the great commitment that so many volunteers show to CDEL. We thank them both for their exemplary service.
