Terri Ahrens, US Foods, Inc.
CDEL Immediate Past President
Terri Ahrens is Assistant General Counsel, Litigation, at US Foods, Inc., and has served as President of CDEL’s Board of Directors since 2016. She has been involved with CDEL since 2006, when she first volunteered as a pro bono attorney and steadily became more involved with CDEL over the years and became a member of CDEL’s Young Professionals Board in 2008. She joined CDEL’s Board of Directors in 2011 where she also served as Secretary and Vice President. During her tenure as President, Terri oversaw CDEL’s move to a new office, the appointment of a new Executive Director, and steered CDEL through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Terri will remain on CDEL’s Governing Board as a board member and we look forward to her continued service.
On reflecting on her time as President, Terri had this to say: “It has been such a privilege to serve as CDEL’s Board President for the past six years. Over that time, I am most proud of CDEL’s continued growth mindset and the fact that we continue to expand our reach despite doing so through the most challenging of times during the pandemic. Under Caroline Manley’s leadership, and with the assistance of her amazing and knowledgeable staff, dedicated Board Members, fantastic volunteer network and committed community partners, CDEL has continued to thrive at its mission of helping the elderly and those with disabilities receive much-needed legal services. I cannot wait to see what Caroline and my fellow board-colleague and friend Theresa Jaffe have in store for CDEL’s future.”

As President, Theresa will work to expand upon the strong foundation that Terri built for CDEL’s services. “I am deeply honored to serve as CDEL’s Board President,” stated Theresa. “Working with Terri Ahrens these past six years has been a privilege. We have a tremendously committed Board of Directors, a dedicated and highly professional staff led by Caroline Manley and outstanding community partners.
